In what countries is the service available?
You can register as a renter from any country in the world but Meshwar is currently available for car owners to register their cars for rent only in Egypt, that is; you can only rent cars in Egypt. Meshwar will be available in other countries in the Middle East in the future.
Is the registration free?
Yes. It’s totally free to register with Meshwar
Is there a minimum age or any other requirements to register?
Yes. You should be at least 18 years old to register. Also in case of renting without a driver (future service), you should have held your driver’s license for at least 1 year 
How do I register?

Registration with Meshwar is easy and takes less than 1 minute. You can sign up using your email address or your Facebook or google accounts. After you have registered, and in order to be able to rent cars on Meshwar, you have to validate your account. please visit ‘How Meshwar Works’ page to learn more about how and why you need to validate your account.

What are the payment options?
With Meshwar, you can securely book and pay for your car with a push of a button. We accept Visa and Mastercard, both debit and credit cards.
How do I know that my online payment is secure?

Meshwar uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology which ensures that all connections on Meshwar server remain encrypted. This explains why the website address begins with “https” instead of “http”. Our website is secured using a RapidSSL Wildcard Certificate. This ensures all information you send using our website will be encrypted. Please click the “padlock” icon on the web browser for more details on the security certificate. Meshwar also do not store any credit card or debit car details and payments are processed through Stripe. The global payment processing company holds all your financial data securely; no one can access it, not even us!

What’s the difference between “Book now” and “Request to book” buttons on car page?
With Meshwar, there are two options to rent a car, the booking options appearing for each car depend on the car owner preferences and settings, you may see both options or only one option for any car. “Book now” option means that the car owner has allowed renters to book the car independently and receive a confirmation instantly. “Request to book” option means that you are not allowed to book the car instantly and you need to request the booking from the car owner first, the car owner may or may not approve your booking. In all cases, you can always message the car owner from the same page.
Can I rent a car by the hour?
Yes. But the minimum hourly rental is 2 hours. Also, please note that not all cars are offered for rent by the hour, it all depends on the car owner preferences and settings
Is there a minimum period for hourly rental?
Yes. You can rent a car by the hour for a minimum period of 2 hours.
Can I rent a car with a driver?

Yes. Almost all cars on Meshwar are offered for rent with a driver. Renting cars without a driver is a service offered for few cars and under more strict terms and conditions. On the search page, you can filter to show “cars with drivers”, “cars without drivers” or “all”. Also, please note that the listing type depends on the car owner preferences and settings

What are the optional add-ons?
Add-ons are optional features, equipment or amenities that are meant to make your trip more convenient, for example, child seat. Some car owners offer these optional add-ons for an additional fee. If add-ons are offered for the car you’re renting, you can add any or all of them to your booking by clicking on the listed add-on in the car page. 
Can I message the car owner?
Yes. You can always message the car owner on Meshwar. Use the messaging feature to ask the car owner about anything, give information about your trip or coordinate pickup arrangements. You can message the car owner by clicking “Contact Owner” on the car page. Please note that you will also be directed to the messaging feature anytime you request to book a car.
Can I negotiate a discount or ask for a special offer?
Yes. You can use our messaging system to contact the car owner and ask for a special discount or customized offer. If the car owner approves your request, they will send you a special offer with the agreed terms or price, you can accept this offer and complete your booking
When is my booking considered confirmed?
Your booking will be confirmed when you complete all booking steps including payment for your trip through our secured payment gateway. Your will receive a confirmation message and invoice number at the end of the booking process and we will also send you a confirmation email
where should I meet with the car owner? Where are they going to pick me up from?
Every car owner determines the locations/areas where they can meet you and pick you up from. For your convenience, some car owners may also offer more than one option for pickup, other car owners offer free or paid pickup option to your location or other locations. You can find all your meeting/ pickup options in the car page. Also, when you start the booking process you will be asked to choose your preferred pickup option.
Can the car owner pick me up at my location?
Yes. For your convenience, some car owners offer free or paid pickup option to your location or other locations (for example; the airport). You can find all your meeting/ pickup options in the car page. Also, when you start the booking process you will be asked to choose your preferred pickup option.
What should I do If I am late for pickup time?
If you expect that you will not be able to make it on time for pickup, please contact the car owner and inform him about the situation and about the new time you expect to be ready for pickup. The car owner may decide to accommodate your new time according to circumstance. If you fail to inform the car owner or you just don’t show up at pick up point and time, the trip will be considered cancelled and Meshwar cancellation policy applies 
Can I change or cancel my booking?
We understand that things may not always go as planned and you may have to change or cancel your booking after confirmation. First, if you still want to rent the car but rental times have changed, we recommend that you consider changing the booking, you can message the car owner asking to change your booking times and they may be able to accommodate your new requirements. If you have to cancel your trip, please inform us and inform and the car owner as soon as possible so that we can help you cancel your trip. Please note that additional fees may apply for cancellation. Please see the cancellation policy for details 
Do you require security deposit?
No. But if you incur any additional fees by the end of your trip,  as per Meshwar policies, these fees will be charged to your method of payment. Please see 'Meshwar Policies' page for more details.
What is debit/credit card authorization? What is it used for?
Card authorization is the process of holding a certain amount of funds from your card for a specific period of time. This amount is either released, partially charged or fully charged to the card during that period. We use card authorization to hold rent amount against your booking, but actual charging may happen any time before the beginning of your trip. Card authorization is usually processed using different ways by banks depending on the type of card you use. For more information about card authorization, please contact your bank or car issuer.
Can I rate the car or the car owner?
Yes. We encourage you to share your thoughts about your trip, the car you rented or your experience with the car owner. Remember that our community it built on valuable member’s contributions like yours. You can rate the car and the car owner by going to “Trips” page, click the trip/car you would like to rate and then click “Rate this car”. You will also have the opportunity to write a review about the car or the owner.
